In a pre-war co-op that also means the deep casement sills and radiator alcoves routine cleaning never really reaches.

Central Queens is largely pre-war housing, and it accumulates a predictable set of problems. Kitchens where decades of cooking have carried grease from the stovetop onto cabinet fronts and up into the hood — and in a house that's had several tenancies, that's several decades of it layered together. None of that comes off with a wipe.
