Our Story

Sparkling Home Cleaning Services of Queens, NY opened in 2014 on Queens Boulevard, and the neighborhood set our hours before it set anything else. Woodside, Elmhurst and East Elmhurst are full of people who work at LaGuardia, at Elmhurst Hospital and in restaurants along Roosevelt Avenue, and almost none of them are home for a weekday-afternoon appointment. Every cleaning company we came up against either wouldn't work those hours or charged a premium for them. We did neither, and 7,500+ cleans and a 5.0-star rating from 150+ clients later, a 5am booking still costs exactly what a Tuesday afternoon costs.

The housing here taught us the second thing. Central Queens has more variety across a small area than people expect. Jackson Heights has landmarked garden apartment co-ops built around private interior gardens — a housing type that barely exists anywhere else in America, with real board rules and original hardwood and casement windows. Sunnyside has the Gardens, a 1920s planned community on the English garden-city model, where the shared courtyards are genuinely shared and treated accordingly. Woodside and Corona are dense with two- and three-family houses, mostly owner-occupied with tenants above. Maspeth is quiet detached homes with finished basements that are effectively another floor. We ask which you have and quote accordingly rather than applying one number to all of them.

We also made a decision early on about coverage. Corona and East Elmhurst get skipped by a lot of cleaning companies, or quoted with a surcharge that reflects nothing real — they're a few minutes from our office, exactly like everywhere else we serve. So every neighborhood on our list pays the same rate, and that rate is the lowest we charge anywhere in the city. It's priced for central Queens rather than carried across from a Manhattan rate card, which is the only honest way to do it.

Everything else is simple. Flat rates quoted before we arrive and unchanged afterwards. No stair fee. Multi-family homes cleaned in one visit and billed as one job. Every cleaner background-checked, insured and bonded. And a free re-clean within 24 hours if we miss something. After 10+ years here, most of our new work still comes from a neighbor passing the number along, which is about the only endorsement worth having in a neighborhood like this one.
